Not everybody is advised to own a dog of this breed. Irresponsible ownership and breeders who encourage aggression and fighting instincts in their dogs create the common misconception that this breed is very dangerous and vicious. But with proper training these dogs become very friendly and even-tempered.

All dogs of this breed should pass the Social Compatibility Test at one year of age; without the test they cannot be registered and used for breeding. The test includes everyday situations and checks the dog’s reaction. Friendly, outgoing and stable dogs receive the better results.
